Association members

Membership with purpose. Involvement with responsibility.

The statute clearly defines membership categories, voting rights and the steps through which a person may become a member of Asociația ‘Samariteanul în Acțiune’.

An important distinction

The mission is open to everyone. Membership is a formal responsibility governed by the statute.

Beneficiaries, participants, occasional volunteers, donors, sponsors, partners and collaborators may support the work without automatically becoming association members.

Support is never conditional on membership. Governance and voting, however, are exercised only by founding members and full members, according to the statute.

Four statutory categories

Different levels of membership and responsibility

The rights attached to each category are distinct. Being a volunteer, beneficiary, donor or participant is not the same as being a member.

01Voting rights

Founding members

The people who established the association and signed its statute. They have voting rights in the General Assembly from the moment legal personality was acquired.

Category acquired when the association was established
02Voting rights

Full members

Members who have completed the associate-member stage, meet the statutory requirements and are approved by the General Assembly.

They may elect and be elected, according to the statute
03No voting rights

Associate members

Individuals or legal entities who support the association's purpose, participate in activities or are in a period of familiarisation and integration.

Status granted by the Board of Directors
04No voting rights

Honorary members

Individuals or legal entities recognised for exceptional support of the association's mission, values and work.

Honorary status granted according to the statute
